NOTICE ON VISAS
International Attendees
If you are planning to attend the AMOS Conference from a country outside of the United States, you may need to apply for a visa permitting your entry into the U.S.
Business Visitor Visa
Visa applications and requests for information regarding visa requirements should be lodged with your local American Embassy or Consulate. An interview at the embassy consular section is the first step in the visa application process, at which point a quick fingerprint scan is also taken. Each visa applicant must also submit these required forms and documentation regarding personal information and travel plans. Because the waiting times for scheduling an interview and completing the application process are variable, it is recommended that you submit your visa application several months prior to your anticipated arrival. You may consult Visa Wait Times for information on interview appointments and typical processing times.
Visa Waiver Program
If you are a citizen of one of the 27 Visa Waiver Program (VWP) countries, you may be eligible to enter the U.S. without obtaining a visa.
- As of October 26, 2006, the VWP requires travelers to possess an e-Passport in order to be eligible to enter the U.S. without a visa.
- A passport issued between October 26, 2005 and October 25, 2006 by VWP countries must include a digital photo printed on the personal information page of the passport.
- A passport issued before October 26, 2005 must be a machine-readable passport, which includes a machine-readable zone at the bottom of the personal information page of the passport.

Supporting Documentation
As a part of the formal application process for a visitor visa, U.S. consular officials require additional documentation to substantiate the stated purpose of the trip. Prior to commencing the visa application process, prospective international attendees to the AMOS Conference may request an official letter of invitation to the event. This letter may be submitted by the attendee to a local U.S. Embassy or Consulate as a supporting document outlining the reason for travel into the United States.
Please note that the issuance of a letter of invitation from the AMOS Conference does not guarantee you will be granted a visa approval, nor does it commit the AMOS Conference to assist in obtaining your visa. It is the sole responsibility of the attendee to collect any and all documentation and fees required for entry into the U.S. The invitation letter cannot and will not be sent directly to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate for you. The AMOS Conference cannot and will not directly contact the U.S. Department of State, U.S. embassies, or consular offices on behalf of any prospective conference attendee.
To request a Letter of Invitation, submit the following information to info@amostech.com
