2009 AMOS Conference Archive

The tenth annual AMOS Conference was held on September 1-4 at the Wailea Marriott Hotel in Maui, Hawaii. The conference was well attended by more than 630 scientists, engineers and technical managers from 10 countries including China, Japan, Italy, and Russia. Some of the many topics presented at the conference included telescopes and cameras, imaging methods, adaptive optics, space object identification, astrodynamics, University of Hawaii’s Panoramic Survey Telescope and Rapid Response System (PanSTARRS), and the Iridium-Cosmos collision. 2008 AMOS Conference Archive

The ninth annual AMOS Conference brought together over 580 scientists, engineers and technical managers from across the nation to listen and discuss the latest in Space Situational Awareness, military space capabilities and related technologies. The conference has grown in prestige and respect among the SSA community from the military to private industry, from government to academia. Learn more.

2007 AMOS Conference Archive

Participation at the 2007 AMOS Conference was 550-strong, and included representation from across the U.S., Australia, Bulgaria, Canada, France, Japan, Russia, Switzerland, and Taiwan. The record attendance was augmented by key sponsorships, a dozen exhibitors, and hospitality receptions hosted by industry. Conferees held numerous sidebar sessions—formal and informal—to form new partnerships and plans. Learn more.

2006 AMOS Conference Archive

Over 400 scientists, engineers, and technical managers from academia, industry, government, and the military participated in the four-day program where over 140 technical papers were presented in space-related areas including adaptive optics, astronomy, imaging, lasers, metrics, orbital debris, non-resolved object characterization, Pan-STARRS, SSA programs and systems, telescopes, and sensors. Since 1999, Maui Economic Development Board has been pleased to provide management support for the annual AMOS Technical Conference. Over the years, the conference has grown in reputation and attendance and has been heralded as a signature event addressing the subject of Space Situational Awareness.
